The Brief 1st Rough Cut

The video is our first rough cut for our opening scene of The Brief. We have collected a few shots, this has enabled us to make a rough cut of what we had done. Doing rough cuts is useful because means we can see what works best, and what needs to be reshot. We found that we need to add in a few clips in between so it will make sense. We also found that it would be better if we were to shoot a couple of clips to make it look more real. All together I am happy with this rough cut because it shows we have some room for improvement.

  1. Robbie overall I’m quite impressed with your blogging to date and you’ve been pretty thorough in terms of the posts you’ve included. From here, it is essential that you keep a detailed record of your experiences whilst in production. You should also be including rough cuts and detail about how you are logging and grading your clips. Make sure that you also keep things like audience expectations in mind whilst writing about your own production. Your idea seems pretty good and I’m looking forward to seeing the final production.
